BANK A

Give it a voice.

Choose a short audiobook or speech excerpt you have permission to use. It stays on this device.

We cut into 150 ms fragments, reverse each fragment once and soften its edges. Very quiet fragments are skipped.

A QUICK START

Build your sound bed.

  1. Load your audio. Your four included banks are already reversed and play each supplied clip in full. To replace a bank with a custom excerpt, use forward audio normally or select “already reversed” when appropriate.
  2. Start the banks. Volume controls each voice. Interval is the time between fragment starts. Speed changes pitch and audible fragment length.
  3. Record and mark. Allow microphone access. The recorder also saves the digital instrument output and a log of the selected fragments.
  4. Review and export. Compare tracks separately and download the WAV files and session log before clearing browser data.

Included clips are mostly 250 ms at 1×, with shorter end clips preserved. At 0.75×, a 250 ms clip lasts about 333 ms. Custom excerpt imports still use 150 ms slices. A shorter interval creates more overlap.

Echo here is an effect on the instrument output. Your microphone is never played through the speaker. Its separate input meter shows activity while recording.

Prototype limits: keep this page visible while recording. Interrupted audio is flagged; recordings stop after 15 minutes. Included clips download as needed and require a connection for uncached audio. Custom banks and session recordings stay in this browser, without cloud backup. Mobile hardware testing and membership integration are still to come.

Reversed speech fragments may form recognisable sounds. This instrument makes no determination about their source or meaning.
